To clarify, I'm looking to use Nexus mods exclusively (instead of Steam workshop mods) and want to know if there is any drawback to installing SKSE via Steam, or if I should do the regular installer.

Thing is, SKSE was created for the 32 bit Skyrim, and Skyrim Special Edition is 64 bit, meaning the current version of SKSE won’t work with the Special Edition.There is now an alpha being tested for the SSE, however.

Now this is supposed to be the easiest way of installing it from what I can tell, however my question is this: If I install SKSE via Steam, will I be able to still use the Nexus Mod Manager mods that need SKSE? Is SKSE out for special edition Skyrim SE versions of SkyUI and Skyrim Script Extender are in the works. I found the website for it and was going to download it when I realized that it had a link to install via steam. So, I was about to start modding Skyrim and downloaded the Nexus Mod Manager because Nexus seems to have many more, and more complex mods than the Steam Workshop. SKSE v.1.7.3 has a 'install via steam' (which never worked right for me), 'installer', and '7zip' to download, I just ran the installer version, which is an executable file. I did look but couldn't find anything specifically on my question. First off, this is the first time I've posted on the Steam forums so I apologize if there's a thread for this already.
